Little Fairy Mania
Hello everybody! Today was Prasana's birthday so we kinda celebrated it in a small way. Happy birthday to you, Pras!! But the day still turned out to be quite as boring as the past 3 weeks. Staying at home most of the time doing virtually nothing. It's killing me...
Anyway, I'm now watching a new show now called The Little Fairy on Channel U. (It's called 天外飞仙 for those who don't know what I'm talking about) It features a star studded cast such as Hu Ge, Lin Yi Chen, Phyllis Quek, Florence Tan, Bobby Dou Zhi Kong, Tae and Michelle Saram and they come from places such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Wow, that's international you know!
Anyway, this epic costume drama is supposedly based on a famous Chinese fairy tale. It is about a forbidden love that occurs between Xiao Qi (Lin Yi Chen), the 7th and youngest celestial daughter of the Jade Emperor and Dong Yong (Hu Ge), a common mortal and how they overcome all odds to be together. (Kind of like the Moon Fairy drama that Fann Wong was in last year...) I've watched like 7 episodes so far and I must say that it is pretty good. I love the comic moments brought about by the lead stars and the ensemble cast. The costumes and scenery are visually stunning and the whole drama is quite contemporary and modernistic, so it's not too old fashioned for those who think it's ancient or something. (Just to prove my point, there was a football match scene featured) And I love the music featured too. Just don't know where I can download them from...

But do you know what's the best part of the show? The LADIES!! Yes, the female artistes are so pretty, there is just too much eye candy to focus on! *going dreamy-eyed* So now, get ready for the awesome Raji_Raj Rating of the awesome ladies of The Little Fairy! (Another lame thing of one of my lame things but I guarantee that this will be an awesome lame thing...I don't make sense, do I?)

1: Cui-niang, Magistrate's daughter
Rating: 2/10
Good: Very thick-skinned yet funny character.
Bad: Just don't like her face. End of story.

2: Dunno what's her name, Dunno what's her role
Rating: 4/10
Good: Much better looking than the previous one.
Bad: Hasn't appeared in the show yet. So must wait and see. And I don't really like Michelle Saram because I hate the way she acted in Singaporean productions before.

3: Saijin, working girl at her mother's inn
Rating: 6.5/10
Good: Eye-catching. Making me go ga-ga like the other male stars on the drama.
Bad: Just looks a bit too sad on the show.

4: Xiao Er, 2nd daughter of Jade Emperor aka Weaving Maiden
Rating: 8/10
Good: Digs the gorge in gorgeous. And Phyllis Quek has always had a special place in my list of favourites right after Fann Wong...
Bad: Limited screen time so far.

5: Xiao Qi, 7th daughter of Jade Emperor aka Long Guanbiao
Rating: 9.5/10
Good: Pretty, cute and sassy. Very good acting. What more do you want?
Bad: Can't think of any. A bit too short perhaps?
So from this, I think you would have probably guessed that my favourite female character from the drama is *drumroll* Xiao Qi!!! Haha. She's just so lovable and funny on the show, making my eyes glued to the screen.

So damn beautiful...just like a goddess *sighs*
